In the Pärnu beach district, where quiet streets wind between historic villas and the proximity of the sea sets a peaceful rhythm for life, there is one special house. Soft light streams in through its tall windows, moving across the light-colored walls throughout the day, pausing on the sculptural forms of the furniture, and giving way to the warm glow of the lamps as evening falls.

The Vipp488 Cabin armchair goes hand in hand with Vipp's vision to create high quality timeless furniture that will last for generations. The armchair offers a modern yet classic interpretation of elements of Danish design, such as the wooden frame and the hand-woven paper cord backrest. The oak part of the chair is carved using a combination of modern technology and traditional craftsmanship. As wood is a natural material, no two chairs are ever exactly alike. Deeply rooted in the Danish design traditions of the 1940s and 1950s, the paper cord is hand-woven, giving each chair its own unique characteristics. The chair seat is upholstered in aniline leather with a classic edge trim. The leather is completely natural and carefully selected to match the authenticity of the design.

BELLEVUE — MORE THAN A CENTURY OF SUMMER ROMANCE IN PÄRNU
The story of Bellevue begins in 1897, when a magnificent villa with wooden lace-like decorations was built in the Pärnu beach district at the request of local merchant Karl Glabe. Originally named Karls Ruhi, the house became a highly regarded vacation spot. During the First Republic of Estonia, the building served as a retreat for military officers, hosting, among others, President Konstantin Päts and General Johan Laidoner.
Today, Scandium Kinnisvara has restored this historic gem and, with the Bellevue residences, created a comprehensive living environment where the architectural heritage of the past meets the quality of life of today.
However, Bellevue’s uniqueness lies not only in its history. It also lies in the building’s ability to offer something that is difficult to recreate in new constructions—a character and romantic atmosphere that have developed over decades. It is precisely in such an environment that the role of interior design becomes particularly important. Every choice must take the architecture into account, while also leaving room for a modern lifestyle.
In the interior designed by Hanna Karitsa, Bellevue’s architectural heritage has been given a contemporary interpretation. Tall windows, light-colored surfaces, and rooms with distinctive geometric shapes create a home whose architecture is expressive in and of itself. Such an environment does not necessarily require more decoration, but rather carefully considered choices.
Noveli’s goal was to complement the existing interior design with furniture, lighting, and accessories that highlight the space’s best features. Here, not every item needs to belong to the same era or follow a single, specific style. On the contrary—it is precisely the skillful combination of different design languages that creates a space that feels timeless, yet not predictable.
LIGHT THAT GIVES A ROOM A NEW DIMENSION
One of the most distinctive features of a Bellevue home is how the light changes throughout the day.
The natural light streaming in through the tall windows highlights the interior’s spaciousness, the textures of the materials, and the sculptural forms. As evening falls, the same space takes on a completely different character. The deepening twilight beyond the windows and the warm glow of the lights create a more intimate atmosphere, in which new details come to the fore.
Bellevue Home carries several Noveli lighting brands, including Davide Groppi, Ingo Maurer, Astep, and Santa & Cole. Their diverse design approaches make it possible to create lighting solutions that are both functional and aesthetically expressive.
One of the elements that sets the evening mood in the room is Santa & Cole’s iconic Básica lamp. Its understated design and soft light add warmth to the interior and blend naturally with Bellevue’s romantic architecture.

The small Vipp591 and the large Vipp592 table lamp function both as a luminaire and as a decorative sculpture, moulded in glass and marble. The grooved and layered glass dome, made using ancient mouth-blowing techniques, emits a soft overall light, illuminating the special features of the marble foot. The refined composition of internal white and external frosted glass layers creates an opaque surface and ensures even light distribution. The visual appearance of marble tells the story of millions of years of natural formation. The stone bears traces of fossils and other organic matter, making each stone unique with its wide range of shades and patterns. An aluminium dimmer switch allows you to adjust the mood to suit the environment, from intense to cosy.
Material: glass, marble, silicone, aluminium, LED diffuser, textile coated wire.
