In 1932, 17-year-old Holger Nielsen won a car by lottery. But because he didn't have a driving licence, he decided to sell the car and invest the money in a metal strip. He soon set up a small metal factory in the small Danish town of Randers and designed the first VIPP bin, which has become a global design icon.
Based on the simple aesthetics and functionality of Holger's design, VIPP created its first modular kitchen V1 in 2011, which has since been joined by the V3 model.
VIPP has stayed true to its heritage by constantly working to improve people's lives through sustainable products and experiences.
