Table lamp Daphine
As an undeniable symbol of elegance and functionality, Daphine embodies the essence of the Italian lighting brand Lumina, as it was born from Tommasso Cimini's design philosophy: 'Lots of light, few bulbs'. Daphine's design is simple but effective: a rotating head and articulated arm supported by an electromechanical transformer. The Daphine first 'saw the light' in a small workshop in Sedriano (province of Milan) in 1975, thanks to the skilled hands of mechanical engineering expert Tommaso Cimini and the machines he rebuilt for the purpose. Daphine undoubtedly deserves the status of 'icon of lighting design'. Over the years it has been part of the collections of the world's leading design and contemporary art museums, including the Brooklyn Museum and the Judd Foundation in New York, the Musée des Arts Décoratifs in Paris, the Neue Sammlung in Munich and the Triennale in Milan. The luminaire is dimmable.
