The Nanimarquina Colorado Carpet Collection harmoniously combines tradition and modernity. These ethnically styled rugs are created using ancient techniques such as chobi (hand knotting) and kilim (flat weaving). The combination of the two techniques creates a play of different heights and textures, with depth and complexity added by the different colours.The rug is the result of a collaboration between Nanimarquina and French artist Inga Sempé, who says of the creative process, "I imagined it to be reminiscent of the soft fur of an animal, its untidy texture, offering luxury without being overdone."
