The Nanimarquina Telares Collection is born out of a constant search for new approaches to what looms have to offer. By combining the handcrafting techniques of kilims and typical dhurrie rugs, a family of products with unique textures and rhythms has been created. Pattern variations resulting from the tension between the weft and warp give the rug a nuanced appearance, thus recalling the most elementary of craftsmanship: the craftsman's persistent process of trial and error from which magical results are born. Finding the desired texture has required a great deal of forethought and prototyping by Telares. The result is a looser kilim with curved shapes, unlike traditional kilims, which are usually geometric and rectilinear. The carpet has a rustic look with its unevenness, and its curly fringes are notable. Available in five colours, each variation looks for contrasts.
